"One great story after another..."

Mike Casper is a Southern California author and writer with a gift and a passion for storytelling. He is a world traveler, a husband, a father, and a proud grandfather. Mike is an avid reader with varied life experiences. He believes although life can be tragic, it can also be meaningful, beautiful, and fulfilling.
Mike also thinks that the written word will take you to places that no other media can, including cinema, and with that in mind, he wrote STONE THROWER and THE SING SONG CHILD.

He’s working on another collection of short stories in the Stone Thrower genre, and a novel based upon Theophilus of Antioch, Syria. Stay tuned!

Stone Thrower

Stone Thrower: fifteen beautifully written backstories of 'little people' in the bible who had an encounter with the most important man in history. Rather than retelling familiar biblical moments, Stone Thrower steps into the quiet spaces between them, the moments history forgot, and fills them with the warmth of compassion and authenticity. Each story feels lived-in and real, as if these "ordinary souls" had simply been waiting for someone to remember them. Stone Thrower gives voice to the overlooked and, in doing so, reminds readers that the story of faith is also the story of humanity.

Readers say Stone Thrower is a gripping and well-crafted piece of historical fiction, reminiscent of the style seen in the hit show The Chosen. It brings the time of Christ to life in an exciting, fresh way.

The Sing Song Child:
a love story

Five hundred years ago, in the shadowed heart of medieval Europe, being disabled was not a condition—it was a curse.

Young Andrew’s legs cannot bear his weight, and his halting words often draw cruel laughter. Yet his spirit sings—softly but surely—of a faith the world cannot silence.

As darkness closes in, Andrew, the sing-song child, may yet become a living testimony to God’s quiet miracles… and prove that strength is born not in the body, but in the soul.
